SCHUCHART KICKS OFF 2026 WORLD OF OUTLAWS SEASON WITH CONSISTENCY

BARBERVILLE, FLA – With a new supporting cast surrounding him, Team RelaDyne’s Logan Schuchart posted a consistent weekend of results to being the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series’ 49th season at Volusia Speedway Park near Daytona Beach, Florida. Schuchart collected finishes of fifth, sixth and seventh in the Federated Auto Parts DIRTCar Nationals at the “World’s Fastest Half-Mile”.

“We started fresh with a new crew of Bryan Sundby and Carly Holmes and they were great,” admitted Schuchart, who began his 13th season traveling the country with “The Greatest Show on Dirt”. “Our goal was to have speed and be competititve. We were able to accopmlish both with good qualifying results all three nights and battling inside the top-five the first two nights. We learned a lot and will come back in a couple weeks ready to keep digging.”

Schuchart opened the season last Wednesday night qualifying fourth in the field of 43 cars driving the Federated Auto Parts No. 1s. He was battling reigning champion David Gravel for third nine laps into the race when the duo made contact. Schuchart had front wing damage from the contact and his crew made quick repairs. He returned to the race and charged from 20th back up to sixth. After Thursday night’s program was canceled because of rain, Schuchart hit the track Friday and qualified second before finishing fifth in the main event. The team concluded the week Saturday night was posting the fastest time in hot laps and then fastest overal in qualifying. A heat race win followed before Schuchart finished seventh in the 25-lap finale.

The Shark Racing team returns to action on March 1 at Volusia for the annual two-night Bike Week Jamboree. He will debut the 2026 DuraMAX No. 1s Sprint Car at that event seeking his first triumph of the season.
